There are people who need no introduction: just a few notes and you know: here’s someone whose energy never runs dry. Két is that kind of artist: endlessly inspired, fully alive, turning every moment into melody. For him, music isn’t about leaving a mark; it’s about joy, sharing, and living vividly.

In his conversation with DNNLY, Két didn’t dwell on “success” or “the image of an artist,” but spoke about gratitude, about being alive, about finding truth in each note and within himself. Amid the noise of the art world, he offers a quiet reminder: live fully, love yourself, so you can love others.
Together with DNNLY, let’s listen to Két’s “Love for Art” – an artist who chooses music not to be remembered, but to never regret having lived every single moment.

1–2 things you’re most grateful for in life?
I’m deeply grateful for my life, for a healthy body and mind, and for the precious gift of living freely with music.
Is there a message or energy you always try to express through your work? What do you hope people will remember from what you create years from now?
Live fully for yourself. Learn to love yourself, and you’ll know how to appreciate and love others. I don’t know how l’ll be remembered in the future, or even if I will be.

“But today, I choose to live, to experience life, and to have no regrets.”

Your creative ritual(s)?
A cup of coffee and a quiet drive through the city. Is there an object (even an inanimate one) that deeply inspires you? I believe that everything around us holds the potential to inspire, if only… we look closely enough. |
During tough times (like when your band had to regroup after COVID-19), how did you keep your faith?
We stayed in touch and kept talking about music. I think that time was actually a good opportunity: to practice and reflect on ourselves.
What does “living your own way” mean to you — both as an artist and a person? If you could speak to your younger self, what would you say?
If I could speak to my past self, I wouldn’t say anything or change a thing. Because I believe every collision, every pain, every joy made me who I am today. You can be ashamed of your mistakes, but that’s how you grow.

If a young artist is afraid of not being ‘right,’ what would you tell them?

“Make mistakes, learn, and live, that’s how we find ourselves.
Because only then can we truly discover who we are,
and only then can our music be honest to ourselves.”
| A saying or proverb that expresses love?
“Có công mài sắt có ngày nên kim.” – With effort, iron turns into a needle. What comforts you at the end of the day? That I’m still alive. |

Perhaps the most beautiful thing about Két isn’t just in the songs he writes, but in how he chooses to live: honest, simple, and ever-grateful. In a world where everyone wants to be heard, Két chooses to listen to himself, and from that place, radiates freedom and love.
Thank you, Két – for sharing what is so raw, so real, and so deeply artful.
