The human body is a living canvas, where each drop of ink is a chapter of memories; and music is the invisible current that soothes the deepest corners of the soul. Continuing the journey of multidisciplinary exploration, Interdisciplinary Postcard #3 opens a whimsical new chapter: the intersection of contemporary tattoo art and nostalgic sonic landscapes.
At this creative stop, in partnership with DNNLY, we are introduced to the visionary lenses of Tattoo Artist Tú Tú and Singer/Music Producer Taylor Eros. While Tú Tú utilizes stippled Dotwork layers and minimalist Linework to reshape familiar symbols in a gentler, more personalized manner; Taylor Eros chooses to “slowly digest” each wave of emotion, infusing the essence of 70s-90s R&B, Funk, and Soul into peaceful pauses amidst a highly distracted world. The project invites you into an aesthetic realm where intimate stories are told through ink, contours, and melodies, transforming every mark on the skin or every rising note into a silent yet proud expression of love.

“For me, a ‘word of love’ does not need to be expressed too overtly. It lives within the lines I etch onto the body, and within the stories each client carries upon their skin. I want to create art that is poetic and free-spirited, yet deeply personalized, so that anyone looking at it can see a piece of themselves within it.
If my artwork makes someone feel connected and resonates with who they are, that is more than enough for me!”
I am Tú—a tattoo artist currently living and working in Saigon. I have been working as a full-time artist for over 3 years.
Throughout this time, I have been constantly exploring and evolving my personal style to always bring something fresh to everyone. I am particularly drawn to Blackwork and Dotwork tattooing. While my designs vary in theme and color, the core element that defines my personal touch is undoubtedly Dotwork—a technique built from multiple stippled dot layers to offer clients a brand new perspective and experience.

My process spans from initial design to the actual tattooing—but it doesn’t stop there. I view this craft as a form of storytelling, where creativity exists on the human body, carrying the unique personality and experiences of each individual.
In this project, I combined my signature Dotwork and Linework styles. I wanted to create a captivating visual through the intersection of tradition and modernity—where familiar symbols are recreated in a gentler, more minimalist, and deeply personal manner.

—Nostalgic Echoes and the Quest for Simplicity— Taylor Eros (Singer/ Composer/ Music Producer) |

My expression of love is simply wishing that everyone can find peace, simplicity, and sincerity amidst a chaotic world that is easily distracted by information overloading. Let’s reduce our consumption of ‘fast-food’ content. Close your eyes and enjoy a song in its entirety instead of just searching for a viral hook on short videos. Let’s spend more real-world time with one another rather than just through text messages. Instead of visiting a place just to check-in and take photos for social media validation, try to actually soak in the beauty of that scenery for a moment. My word of love is simply hoping that people get to truly ‘live’ more, rather than just being a consumer in a supply chain.

I am Taylor Eros, an independent artist. The music I love to make is R&B, Funk, and Soul. I have a deep love for Western music from the 70s to the 90s, and I aspire to bring those elements into my own musical path. As a 90s kid who grew up during the boom of the internet and social media, I sometimes find myself missing the simpler times of my childhood, and I want to bring that very simplicity into my artistic journey.
When it comes to music, you could say I’m a ‘slow digester’. When an emotion strikes, I usually don’t write immediately. Instead, I need a few months, sometimes even a few years, to fully ‘process’ that feeling. Then, on a beautiful day, I write everything down. Once written, there usually isn’t a budget for production yet, so I put it aside for another few years before pulling it out to work on it again. Currently, my vault has over a hundred songs, so I have chosen to pause songwriting for a while to focus on building my social media presence and seeking opportunities. Once I have fully ‘released’ this backlog of songs, perhaps I will return to writing new music.
When you think of yourself in years gone by, what image do you remember most vividly?
One thing I remember very clearly about myself in those earlier years is the ambiguity – the fear of truly revealing who I was. As a millennial, I had very few role models to look up to or reflect upon to discover myself sooner. Everything during my adolescence was a blur. I didn’t dare to experience too many things because I didn’t even know what I truly wanted. You could say I’m a late bloomer.
On days when you feel like you don’t belong anywhere, what do you usually do to find inner peace?
On days when I feel disconnected, I choose to accept that emotion rather than trying to force toxic positivity or blame myself. After years of being too harsh on myself, now, I just want to breathe.

“As long as I’m breathing, the game isn’t over.”
Interdisciplinary Postcard #3 draws to a close, leaving behind the resonance of delicate needle strokes embedded beneath the skin and slow melodies that awaken the senses. Through the collaboration between Tú Tú and Taylor Eros, we come to realize that ‘expressions of love’ do not always need to be spoken aloud or chase after fleeting, hurried trends. They are found within meticulous dotwork layers, the courage to transform the body into a sanctuary for unique experiences, and the profound desire to slow down to truly ‘live’ and experience reality. As you finish reading these pages, we hope you find the inspiration to confidently write your own story, using whatever medium your heart desires.
